I took part in a project organized by Our Museum for the 2022 Greater Taipei Biennial of Contemporary Art. In this project, I was responsible for converting artworks into one-minute pantomime performances within the museum. Being a cultural intermediary has served as the perfect backdrop for me to explore the unique connection between artists and viewers. It has also provided me with a valuable opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary thinking.
One of the artworks I chose for the project was "The End of Art History," a video created by Young-Hae Chang Heavy Industries. I was fascinated by the questions he posed in the video, which discussed the social responsibilities of artists. I used figurative movements to represent a circle of actions, similar to "TO DO OR NOT TO DO," to express the conflicts that artists frequently encounter.
