Due to the pandemic surge, we transformed the performance into a live online version on Zoom, and I portrayed the role of "the Elegant Lady." Except for the leading role in the black box theatre, the rest of the cast set up all the settings and props in our homes following the designers' instructions. We spent time finding the most effective way to handle complex technical aspects, such as labelling stickers on the keyboard and determining the optimal placement for lighting fixtures. To convey the same impact as watching a play in a traditional theatre, I attempted to make my gaze penetrate through the camera lens and project my energy beyond the screen. Besides, to overcome the challenge of being unable to physically experience the theatrical environment, I had a special warm-up routine before going on camera. I also used vibrant red graffiti to stimulate my senses. This external-to-internal approach allowed me to attain a specific state of mind and body, enabling me to portray the anguish of losing a beloved son and engage in negotiations with the murderer.
